this task was to make a abstract photo outside my school, as you can see in this abstract image there is a depth of field made with the dirty window then has created the rest of the photo to be out of focus. One of the key techniques I have used to make a abstracted photograph is shapes and unusual angles. when I took this image it was and wasn't a new experience this is because I have been a fan of taking close-up's but getting the distance between the window and the street was a new change.

John Batho
what caught my eye about this artist was his choice of colours and his way of arranging them so it makes the images stand out. From the six images I have selected this image because it is simple and is vibrant in colour. What I like about this photo is the general idea of how it can be interpreted. what has created this image is a torn pice of red paper leaving a jagged line showing were the image was taken (in a garden or field).

Saul Leiter
Saul Leiter is a rear photographer that doesn't expect to get the amazing work he makes. When he goes out he takes his camera and never leaves it behind so he never misses a moment of a great photo. When Leiter first started his journey into abstract photography in the 1940's his first album of photos were black and white because he had no formal training in photography then in 15 years later he had finally created colour into his photos and became a success. The main techniques Saul uses is reflections, out of focus, close up's and cropped to make his images pieces of art.

This image is my favourite photo out of the six images I have chosen from Saul Leiter's this is because I love how the red has came out on the bus and the creamy white for the top of the bus. From looking at this image I Saul has used cropping for a tool to make the image as it is now and he might of used a filter to make the red so bold and the brightest part of the photo.

Hannah höck
hannah höck is a german artist well known for her randge of photomontage wich is a layer of cut out images. her main cut outs were from popular magazines from fashon to jornals she has created funny and humorous images. I think her worck is funny style of worck because she uses un-ordinairy pices of the body and puts it in a different size collour or replaces a body pice for another body part. For egsample the six hands for ears or the blue and red eyes .This is made to make children laugh and happy and is also not a style of photography that will not be taken seriously in my opinion.

my final pice
For my final pice I have disided to make a little booklet with all my abstract images inside. Over the two weeks I have got insperation from artist that have gave me a idea of what i am going to one of my main insperational images that I am going to create was David Hockney's abstract plane collage. this caut my eye because I liked how the plane was fliped, shrunk, cropped and expanded and has made it like you can see a plane thrugh a broken mirror and has made it look unordinairy.
David Hocknety
David Hockney cached my eye with his colours and unusual angles to use for my final pice but their was one that stood out from all the other pieces of work. I think this is funny because the only picture from his range of work was a black and white image of a plane that is cropped, tilted, enlarged and shrunk to make a collage of one plane.
final-pice images
At the beginning of my pice I had a idea in my head that I was confident of doing with David Hockney's abstract image of a plane as my Inspiration, but as I started to get more into the final outcome I was drifting away from David hockey's idea with his layer of angles making a plane with other little ones around them. At the last 2 weeks until deadline I had the Idea to have another image behind the firs one but I would cut odd shapes and angles so it'll look more interesting to the audience or examiner. On the last day of finishing off the final pice I had done a range of Images that have the same feeling that i feel looking at David Hockney's pice. In my opinion I have done a pice well linked to my chosen artist.
How I have shown my images are abstract is their is a enormous amount of colours in my final pice and also I have done cut outs on the image and put another printed image under it so it looks distorted and disfigured. If i had more time to change my final pice it would to be find some other idea or another way of presenting the final pice. What I like about my final pice is I love the composition and the range of colours found inside my images.
